According to Ian St. John :
Sorry, loser, but with age comes wisdom and a resistance to endless U.S.
propaganda stories. Some of it is starting to be as ridiculed as Pravda was
in Russian and probably should be renamed 'Truth".

A retired Russian admiral once said "The only difference between Soviet
and American propaganda is that the Soviet propaganda is much more
obvious".

another different is that Soviets suppressed artistic expression
because it was seen as powerful, being able to carry great and hidden
meaning and was therefore dangerous in the wrong hands. America
doesn't have to do that because it sees no meaning whatsoever in
artistic expression and/or corporate control strips out any subversive
tendencies until Ashcroft came to power - then we got drapes over
classic greek boobs and anything the NEA does is deemed dangerous to
the ideology of the extreme right should be a warning signal to those
who believe in independant thought and expression Liberal or
Conservative.
