My wife wants me to redo our 10x15 master bedroom closet. Instead of
buying those closet kits from HD we have decided to make this an education

recommend making the boxes out of... MDF? PB? PLY?
Some people think poorly of melamine covered particleboard but I
believe it might be a natural for your application.
Melamine is available in enough flavors to satisfy nearly everyone who

You can buy it pre-edgebanded in widths of six, twelve, and
twenty-four inches.
It wipes down easily and without damage to the surface. It comes in
lengths from twelve inches - with increments of six inches, at big box
stores.
If you go to HD you can buy pre-drilled sides that will carry shelf
pegs, although the color selection is limited.
I use this in my place and it works out fine.

Tom.
