Even the 11+ dropout "dross"
I don't agree with that - surely it negates what you said above?
Irony. I sensed that the mayor plus dignitaries were present
purely
out of duty to their voters and not because of any undue pride in
those who had achieved in spite of the odds against them - like
finding it amazing that we had managed to walk on our hind legs
at
all. The parents, of course, were soley there because they were
darned
proud that their offspring had indeed achieved something.
OK, sorry I missed it.
I was taking you seriously ... I usually do :-)
Yeah, like that time I sidled up to you in the supermarket,
remember?
No, it was me, honest!
But it wasn't me - I don't go to supermarkets :-)
Oh, poor Mike, how embarrassing for you - LOL
Mary
It was this woman with a screaming kid, going Jesus H Christ over and
over, so I thought...
My kids don't scream, I don't blaspheme, what did you do apart from
sidling?
Sidling is about the sum of it, I'm afraid. I was wearing a raincoat,
though.
Gosh! I haven't seen one of those for many years!
