I would *never* buy an HLV-H as my first lathe.
After all, what could you dream about upgrading to later?
Only a Monarch 10EE.
Different strokes, I guess. I have both a 10EE and a Feeler
(Taiwanese) HLV-H clone. The Monarch gets at most 1/10 as
much use as the Feeler.
I've been looking for a good gearhead lathe with a short
bed to replace the 10EE. Something in the Monarch, American
Pacemaker, Okuma, Mori Seiki class. Any trades out there?
