Hi,

GSD3800

That is part of a full model#

Overflows in wash cycle.

Really is overflowing?...or just leaking??

GE repair says change detergent. Did so
several times and still overflows.
Daughters have same machine and water softeners and have no problems.

My guess is water level in sump is too high.

The sump is down under the d/w....and it is full of water all the
time....even when no more water is comming out of the drain hose the
sump is still full.

Is there a water level adjustment in this model?

Mots dishwashers do not, the fill is "timed" by the timer or
electronic control....dishwashers do have a float switch that will
shut off power to the fill valve if the level inside gets too high.

Is this model any good?

Sure.

Thank you for kind reply. It is overflowing from the sump during wash
cycle, definitely not from underneath. Two daughters have same model
with same water softeners and have no overflow problems. Seems like
little control of water level if it is on timer rather than old style
mechanical level control. Surely each home has a different water
pressure supply.
Is the timer for water level adjustable?
Best and thank you,
