That would be a "Pre Charged Pneumatic" or PCP rifle. That's the high
end of the market these days. The term pneumatic also refers to the
multi punp, like Crosman, Benjamin Sheridan, and Daisy have made, and
single stroke such as Daisy, Crosman, etc., on the low end, and a whole
pile of olympic grade high end makers.
