Not wanting to be more pedantic "but" did you know there is also a
"Dundee"
in Oregon & Michigan USA ????

I know there's "a" Dundee in those places, but not "THE" Dundee :-)

It's why we never need to qualify our names. When we say "Washington" we
know it's in the North east of England. We never have to write "London,
England" because "London" is plenty enough. Same with Dundee, same with
York, same with........ well you get the picture.
