It should be plenty adequate.

You don't say where you live, but a number of cities in the US clasify
pellet rifles as firearms so firing a pellet rifle in the city limits
qualifies as a felony (discharging a firearm in the city limits). Might
be worth checking on in your area if you are not lucky enough to live in
a rural area.
