Digital Research Monitor Dead?

I have a DRMON19 monitor that has no picture. One evening this 19"
computer monitor worked great, the next morning it didn't. Nothing was
changed overnite in its setup or location.
Upon turnon nothing comes on screen. The Power Indicator LED still
operates. This LED turns on with a green color and it stays on with no
orange
blinking color AND no on-screen error message box appears. Then, after
2-3 minutes, this LED turns off. So, something is 'alive' in the monitor
to sense there is a problem and to turn it off.
No noises, no smells, just nothing.
It is a shame that what is probably a very good monitor won't turn on
because
of something that might be awry in a turn-on sensing circuit.
Suggestions? Is this a candidate for checking solder joints?
Thanks
Without seeing it there's really not much anyone can tell you. Is there a
faint ticking noise? Any funny smells? If you're serious about fixing this
thing you'll have to pop the cover and do some investigating. Check voltages
out of the power supply, see if you have the 150-200v B+ at the HOT, and
check that as well as any large diodes and transistors to see if they're
shorted.
Thanks for the response. As I said before no noises, no smells, just blank
screen and the little LED blinking. It worked great in the evening and the next
morning it would not start. No warning, no symptoms, nothing.
