What you need is to call at least 2 other comapnies to come
out and first, diagnose your existing system, and then, if needed,
make suggestions about new equipment.

The mere fact that the flame tips were yellow tells you
exactly nothing about any cracks, and if he tried to tell you it did,
he lied. Throw him out.
