bobbins, boards) and of the winch mechanism on the trawler, since he refers
to these terms a lot. Maybe even a series of diagrams showing what happens
as the net is gradually winched in. It would help understand what is
happening when it all goes wrong.

I know all about when it goes wrong and the problem is nothing to do
with the equipment (other than how it decimates fish numbers, impacts
other wildlife species, destroys habitat and causes all the *extra*
unnecessary death from 'bycatch').
