Possibly, but because of the density of them their waste is also more
likely to become a pollutant and washed into the rivers, estuaries and
seas.
It also doesn't address the unnecessary unnatural breeding, keeping
and killing of a sentient creature and the habitat destruction
'elsewhere' to grow those foodstuffs.
