Whitmer is doing a lot of bob and weaving these days. After trying to
establish a police state she decided asking nicely might work. There is
that pesky election next year.
I am truly glad that it is the Biden administration that is refusing to
give her more than her share of vaccine. Can you imagine the **** storm
had it been Trump?
Add that to the list of stupid Biden moves. There are 5 states where Covid is
rapidly rising. Moving say 10% of the allocation from the other states wouldn't
impact the other 45 that much, but would help combat Covid where it's the worst.
No idea what Biden is thinking or who he's listening to.
Everyone over 16 is eligible in Nebraska for the Covid shots with the exception of one county. Probably plenty of
people are getting shots who don't really need them.
There was a little rush when they opened up the eligibility but the
radio last week said there were plenty of appointments available.
my cynical mind hears that as plenty of people aren't making appointments.
For the past year, covid this and that has been the morning DJ's idea of
'the news'.
We did shot 2 today and I am surprised there were far fewer people
than we expected since they scheduled both shots at the same time. The
first time there were 30 people or more milling around in one line or
another but today it was only about 15. They still had 2 "shooters"
and 2 wranglers keeping the line moving. They didn't have the first
"check in" person who got you into the system. (verify ID, Insurance
etc and give you your shot card).
I am not sure if they just had a lot of no shows or what.
The lady who gave me the shot today was a whole lot better at it and
my arm isn't sore at all. I didn't even feel the shot.
