I don't see anything there related to health care in Canada.. They
have ignorant rednecks that won't mask just like we do.

Every country has theirs. :~)

But I would think a better health system would have a better inoculation
ratio, easier to get inoculated, therefore fewer infections.

BUT! being inoculated does not prevent you from contaminating some one
else. It just means you personally will probably not get sick when you
are exposed again.

Actually, Leon, there was a study just report over the weekend or early
this week claiming that if you're fully inoculated with the Covid-19
vaccine you are highly unlikely to be a carrier of the virus.
Personally, I'm following the masking and washing guidelines until a lot
more time has passed. Take it all with a grain of salt.

Masks are nothing more than a visual symbol of
our acquiescence and subservience to democrats'
power over us. You think they'll ever give this
up?

If we're talking about the mask protecting MJE from you transmitting the
virus, I don't buy the mask wearing. OTOH, I will go along with me
wearing one to decrease the odds of me infecting you should I pick up
the virus and be asymptomatic.

We can argue about one party or the other exerting control, but to say
that's the impetus for mask wearing in the current climate is rather
ignorant. How many times in the past, hundred plus years have you seen
or heard of surgical procedures conducted by personnel who were not
masked. They're not wearing the mask to protect themselves.

As for the comment somebody made about the folks driving alone in their
cars wearing them. Yeah, about the only thing that is good for is a laugh.

Ever consider that the person simply forgot to take it off?
No.
If you ever saw me driving alone while wearing a mask, it wouldnt be
because of any attempt to protect myself. It would simply be that I
forgot to take it off. Ive also forgotten to put one on.
Have you forgotten to take one off in your car?

Yes
Amazing. I've never worn mine long enough to get anywhere near my
car. It comes off the instant I leave the place the lawyers have told
them that everyone has to comply. ...even though state law
indemnifies them against suit.

Mid-winter, snow blowing, both hands full of the items I just bought.
Mask on, keeps face warm in the parking lot. Not worth the trouble to
take it off "the instant" I leave the store. It also doesn't bother me
to leave it on. Shows that I'm a Bills fan. I hear lots of "Go Bills" on
the way to my vehicle.

I don't wear any advertisements, even sports teams. Snow? I find it
difficult to breathe with one on, particularly if it's warm (inside)
and even harder to see.

If it's hard for you to see when wearing a mask, you might be wearing it
wrong. ;-)

Not often, but on occasion, I get in the van and start driving. I don't
think I've ever made it out of the parking lot with it on, but to answer
the question asked, the answer is "Yes, I've forgotten to take it off".

Amazing.
I would imagine it also matters whether or not one feels it's worth
the mental energy to think of it as being a sheep vs. thinking of it
as "It can't hurt to wear a mask, so why not?"

It can hurt. Bacteria aren't anything to sneeze at either. Masks are
a huge breeding ground. Doctors don't wear _one_ all day. Some
people even wear gloves. Double dumb.

I don't wear _one_ all day either. I have washable masks and disposable
masks. MD's, nurses, PT's, etc. also have washable masks and disposable
masks. Time-wise, they are wearing masks for substantially more hours
than I ever will. I'm exposed to (mostly) my own bacteria during those short
stretches when I wear a mask. They are exposed to some pretty nasty stuff
(and people) day in and day out. There is really no comparison.

I've got nothing against those that chose not to wear one. I don't
call them names, I just let them be and wear my mask when required,
and sometimes even when not.

Likewise, I don't care if others wear them but I still reserve the
right to laugh at them.
"No shirt, No shoes, No service" Anybody still bitching about that?

No, and I don't bitch if a merchant requires a mask, either. I
dislike it immensely but it's their establishment. I can go in or
not. I can still laugh at them.
