Don't see any benefits. Harder to start, possibly needs a glow plug
that you'd have to run off electricity to start. Higher emissions.
Higher compression ratios are needed making it tougher to pull start.

On a lawn TRACTOR a deisel can be viable.

How about a lawn semi?
