The people most likely to still need a mask in Florida are right
there. Miami/Dade and Broward counties are driving the Florida Covid
numbers and have been since the beginning. It probably has to do
with the fact that they are closely coupled with the New York/New
Jersey hot spot.
Almost a quarter of all cases in Florida come from Miami/Dade.

Attitude is part of it too. Just look at the spring break crown.
They did not give a damn about rules, they just want to party. Not
many mask wearers.

With the exception of the middle aged crowd at South Beach, spring
breakers are 18-23 kids who understand this is not going to kill them.
If they are out on the beach the chance of transmission is nil anyway.
Why would they care?
The gang in Miami was a different crowd, not students, older, coming
from hot spots up north, visiting our hot spot here. They were also
there for the night life, not the beach and jammed into a South Beach
night club until 2 probably is a super spreader.

They went back to NY/NJ so it might not change the numbers that much
in either place.

The truth will be in the numbers of the local cases. If we have a
spike in the West Coast beach communities, the Branch Covidians have a
case but if it is like last year, the beaches were the safest places
to be.
