Why even bother to reply to such an insane idea? Any financial
qualifications for the vote are a poll tax, which was
abolished by the 24th Amendment. As usual, you republicans ignore
the constitution.....

"The 24th Amendment, ratified in 1964, abolished the use
of the poll tax (or any other tax) as a pre-condition for
voting in federal elections, ..."

"In 1966, the SC ruled that the 14th amendment mean that the
24th Amendment applies to state elections as well".

That amendment can be changed as a bad idea just as the one that
abolished the alcohol drinks, then later changed.

The requirement I am thinking of is not a special tax to vote, but the
right to vote by paying into the system. Why should someone that does
not pay into the system have a right to say where the money goes ?

Because they arent just saying where the money goes, they are
also saying how things should be done non money wise too like
what should be done about rioters, looters, same sex marriage,
abortion, and even if some clown like Trump should be prez.
