Yes this does sound terribly lazy, and obviously offensive..
It has to be said though that any seller of goods or services can decline
to sell to anyone they like.
That’s not true with illegal discrimination.
However discriminating on such flimsy grounds is clearly wrong and
downright lazy.
And illegal.
I guess they must have had issues with travellers and other groups who
caused trouble,
Or are just rabid bigots. Plenty are like that with moslems.
but to not even give them the chance seems really a bit like shooting the
business in the foot.
I wonder how they found out?
Bet some ex employee spilt the beans.
