Default Trane Air Conditioning Systems

I figure it's probably a crap shoot, but FWIW our trane hasn't held up
too well. Our house was built in 1999, was lived in for about a year,
then sat empty for two years. Not sure how big an impact this has on
the HVAC system, but when we moved in the furnace blower motor was
fried as was the AC fan motor. Both had to be replaced, and then the
replacement trane motor for the AC lasted a whole two days before it
started siezing again.

Both motors have been ok for a few months now.

Like others said, installation is probably a big factor. The repair
guy commented that our furnace motor was covered in dirt and dried mud
and said it looked like it had been sitting in water in the past. He
said that's pretty typical of new constructions, they don't really
take much care with these things and all that dirt and crap can really
shorten the life of your motors.

So who knows...

Is Trane truly the best Air Conditioning System on the market today?
If anybody has a Trane tell me your experience with it?
