I dunno Ralph , Entergy's rates are pretty good - and haven't
increased for some time now . We're paying about $.10/Kwhr with all
taxes and fees included . Our power here comes from a hydro plant on the
White River about 35 miles north of us . IMO they take too wide an
easement for the lines - a strip clearcut thru the woods - but then we
don't get many lines downed by trees .

Our rates in NC are about the same. Somewhere around 10 to 12
cents/kwh. OUr electric bill is around $ 150 to $ 200 per month for
just the wife and myslef. We have a heat pump for heat and air. Also
have our own well. In the city some are paying close to that just for
the city water.

The power company around here does not do much tree trimming any more,
so in areas that have lots of ice they have power outges. Where I am in
the country I have not been without power for very long at a time in the
15 years I have been here.

We are around 11 cents a KWH bottom line and my bill cruises $190-$210
average. When the A/C is off it is less of course but I am pumping
water out of the ground, have a pool and a spa, the house is all
electric.
