Standing in the shower I was thinking that it would be nice if the shower
head was a bit further out over the bath to give more room away from the
mixer and the wall.

Apparently they do.
Big choice would be 4" or 8".
Must ask for expert advice.

But seriously, has anyone got/used one?
My main concern would be the extra leverage on the shower head holder.
Not much good if the shower head just swings down and ends up pointing
back at the wall.
