Maybe just be grateful that you have the luck to be able to coomment
about multiplying :-)

I think it's because each prize winning has a reference number attached
to it, so they have to tie up the reference number with the payment.

Usually the reference number on your bank account is the payment
reference, not your holder number or bond reference.

Getting multiple payments may not be idea, but it's better than multiple
cheques (warrants) (and cheques are being phased out anyway).
