On day one, Joe Biden signed an executive order to halt the construction of the pipeline meant to bring Candian crude oil safely and swiftly into the United States. Democrats gave the excuse
that the project was being halted due to its adding to the climate crisis but there is still no evidence that the risk of leaks outweighs the damage done and oil lost during transportation.

Just a point, but the climate change angle has nothing to do with leaks.

On
top of that, studies show that the pipeline actually helped improve the environment by reducing CO2 costs in transporting the oil from Canada to Texas.

That sounds like it's correct.

The democrats just fusked the workin' man...yet again.

I agree, it's the stupidest thing Biden has done so far. When Trump was screwing
Canada with tariffs, the Democrats were screaming bloody murder. Biden just
screwed Canada and American workers and it's all A-OK. That oil in Canada will
continue to be developed and used, regardless of what the US does. And the US
having a source that is friendly and here would also add to our national security.
And what kind of message does this send about America being a place that is
safe and secure to invest and do business in? Investors just lost billions, screwed
by Biden. Biden chose to make the radicals happy.

Washington state, Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota all have existing
refineries. Maybe they could work something out so that the crude could be
processed up there instead of sending it to Oklahoma and the Gulf coast.

Like the same environmental extremists are going to be OK with that?
They don't want that oil used period. And what fools are going to try to
attempt that, put billions into it, have it half built only to have a dope like
Biden pull the rug out from under them again?

Everyone has an opinion, often biased. How much of this do you think is
true?

Organized labor is right to demand that public policy pay attention to
our desperate need for jobs. But the Keystone XL pipeline will only make
our jobs crisis worse by making our climate crisis worse. Plus, there
are lots of pipelines that need fixing. Construction workers can be put
to work rebuilding our crumbling natural gas transmission pipeline
system €” this will create good union jobs and cut carbon emissions. And
these same workers can rebuild our crumbling water infrastructure. If
labor is going to fight for jobs, lets fight for jobs that build the
future we want for ourselves and our children, not ones that will
destroy that future.
