Head gasket? No leaks. What should I look for and how fat of a wallet should I expect?

Is smell inside or outside of car ? If inside, a failed heater core is a
common problem

If outside, a failing radiator/heater hose.

check ALL the hose clamps and other coolant connections, Not sure what
Nissan uses but Mitsu and others also use "O"rings some places. Look
for powdery deposits at joints indicating coolant is evaporating from
the joint.

Being a Nissan ANYTHING is possible - from a $5 hose clamt to a
$5000.00 engine overhaul

Going in for all hose replacement Monday am. Good advice.
