Can you explain? Most reply to an email if needed. So what on earth is
follow up?


With Thunderbird, to reply to a Usenet post you use Followup. Reply
sends an email to the poster (if not munged).


Ah - right. Only ever use Thunderbird very occasionally for email.

Nothing current works as well as the ancient prog I have here. For basic
news and email.
