Umm.. I've taken the sim out now.

Yup, I probably won't offer the option if there is no sim available.

You can get USB SIM readers as well - so could get them off and
converted to a .vcf that way if you wanted.

Shunting these things about from generations of phones with different
sized sims is a pain.
