Yep, especially when dealing with Swinton - which are just brokers
selling other company insurance.

The auto renewal is often in the very small print which most people
don't read

The premium may only have risen by £5 but carefully check that there
have been no changes in excess amounts.


I was told by Direct Line a few years ago that if I paid using American
Express, they dont auto renew.

Dunno if this is still true though.
