Was that Americans thinking that an airbag would always save them so no
need to wear a seat belt.

Not that so much as the fact that air bags dont require
individuals to do anything to be safe like seat belts do.

Real downsides with airbags tho, particularly with
them capable of killing kids in the front passenger
seat where most kids would prefer to sit.
