I recently bought a Jarvis 303 tapping head with a Jacobs chuck no.

After looking in the current Enco catalog (page 310) at the collets in

one
of you wise men or ladies steer me in the right direction? They list a
Jacobs tap chuck but do not reference a number.

I have a Jacobs 440-J10 with two Rubberflex collets, I wonder if they're
the same as for the J5. Not for sale, except with the chuck, and you
already have one of those.
Anyway if it helps, here are the specs on the two collets I have:
No. J441--capacity, #10 to 1/2"
No. J440--capacity, 5/16"-5/8"
Each collet has six jaws, about 1/8" thick, set in rubber--5/8" long,
and a 20 degree cone angle. Largest diameter across the points is 1 3/16".

Thanks for the reply. From your description they seem like the right size.
How does your chuck attach? This one is retained by a pin the way it appears
although I have not taken it off the tapping head. How dear is the chuck and
collets to you? Maybe we could work out a trade or cash if need be. Contact
