Who knows. I read today on a site I don't particularly trust that the
12,000 troops leaving Germany are headed east, not back to the US.

Yup moving half of them to Poland will not do much to soothe tensions
with the Russians. People like Trader ignore we will still have 24,000
in Germany. It is not like they actually abandoned them.
