Usually by competitive tender. Or if this isn't possible then certainly not from a
supplier which is being advised by the same person who is advising the Government
as to which supplier to choose.

Against which, the fact that the masks are useless insofar as their intended purpose is
concerned, rather pales into insignificance.

The latter would be straightforward incompetence which should come as no real surprise
to anyone. The former reeks of rank corruption plain and simple.

The very fact that they're apparently being allowed to get away with it, speaks volumes
for the sorry state this country has fallen into.
