Is there any difference in results between using ammonia or Amdro on fire

Chances are you will just disturb the mound with the ammonia and cause
them to move or bud into several new mounds to deal with in a couple
of weeks where the Amdro should kill out the mound within a couple of
weeks. If ammonia does kill any ants you would probably see some
immediate results rather than a week or two with Amdro. But again if
the ammonia does kill ants I would guess it would need to be rather
concentrated, now having you deal with more of a toxin than Amdro. The
amount of ammonia solution would need to be a gallon or maybe more for
an average mound so if it needed to be a strong mixture to kill them
the cost of per mound treatment would be higher than Amdro.
