Wearing a mask can prevent you from spreading covid after you get it.
Since you can't know if you have it, that means whenever you cannot
appropriately distance from other people you can wear a mask.

You, yourself may live far from any infections and may get away with it,
but if you do get infected and don't appropriately wear a mask, you are
more likely to spread covid.

So wearing a mask is part of what you CAN DO about it.
