In article op.0kt6rzikwdg98l@glass, says...

Don't need a huge house to have a table you eat off.

Some houses don't have a dining room.* You eat on the sofa in the
lounge.

I used to live in a 3 bedroom house that had a living room we seldom
used. The other room was a small kitchen (cooking area) and we had
table
to eat on, couch, easy chair, and the TV set in that room.

You sat in the kitchen in preference to the living room?* Why?

Refined and cultured people don't eat in the living room. That's for
bogans. Dining rooms are for *dining*. Our first house of about 120
square metres had both a dining room and a kitchen large enough for a
decent sized table. We ate our breakfast on the kitchen table

Nope, proper snobs only use the dining room.* Council estate dwellers
eat in the kitchen.

I didn't use the term *snob*. You introduced that. Besides, I have never
lived on/in a council estate.

and other meals were partaken on the dining room table. It's what
*dining tables*
are for. You must be a boor.

And you must be a snob, or someone incapable of balancing a plate on
your lap.* Multitask, watch TV at the same time.

Meals on plates are not meant to be eaten in front of a TV. That is what
bogans do. Meals should be eaten at a table and the occasion used for
socialising. I can tell you have never done any o that since you don't
even understand the concept of *dining*.

The house was around 1100 sqft.

Twice my original size before the extension.* I'd still have been short
of space.

You live in a dogbox. A boor in a dogbox. Yes, quite apt.

Not my fault the UK is overpopulated.* Why do people not buy condoms?

If they did, you would definitely have been an early *victim*.
And the world a much better place.
