Default Washing machine waste hoses

Tricky Dicky Wrote in message:
Our dishwasher and washing machine both have those corrugated plastic hoses with moulded on rubber ends to fit the trap spigots. Due to the way the spigots will be positioned when the sink is in place it is going to be quite awkward to remove or replace the hoses on those spigots, so I am thinking of making an inline connection where it would be easier to get at. The question is how watertight can the bare plastic hose be made? I have seen inserts that can be fitted to connect two hoses with rubber ends together to lengthen the hose will they work without the rubber ends? Anyone had any experience doing this?

Years ago I had to extend the waste pipe of a dw
& incorporate an
anti syphon valve at the high point on the run.

Istr as the hose was corrugated hard plastic, it took a couple of
goes & I ended up slathering the valve spigots with silicone,
assembling loosely, letting it set, then nip up the jubilee clips
