old acid carboys into table lamps the carboys had quite a wide neck big
enough to allow a light bulb through and you could even buy a double
headed lamp holder so one bulb could be inserted in the neck of the

You could make a double header light fitting using brass lamp holders
the type that have a threaded cable entry point, the thread on those
is1/2 26 TPI. A piece of threaded tube could be used to link the two
together with a hole in the side of the tube for cable entry to both.
The shade could be attached to the top one in the normal fashion but
you would then need to figure a way to attach the whole shebang to your
ceramic base.


Somewhere along the way, the electrical dept. is going to want a
suitable earth connection for such an arrangement:-)
