There is with the best dual clutch systems that apply the brake auto
when stoped and auto disconnect the clutch so it never gets overheated.
Mine does use the brakes to hold the car on a hill.
One which applies the parking brake automatically is also going to need
some throttle to start creeeping. Rather than just using the footbrake to
control that - when say parking.
I've not driven an auto with an auto parking brake. So not sure which is
best.
