Except, had it required a supermajority then at least we would all see
it was a more realistic representation of the 'will of the people'
(rather than just 1/3rd of the electorate ... *then*).

If it doesn't make that threshold then there is nothing stopping
anyone continuing to work on it until it actually does.

Most people need 'good reason' to detour off the well trodden and the
relative safety of a known route.

It became apparent the "known route" was heading to disaster.
Pointers, Italy, Spain, Portugal etc
France and Germany next.
