Not for a one-off! I've just cleaned a vinegar decanter in that way, and it
came up a treat - with no sign of frosting, except the existing bit where
the stopper fits into the neck.

[BTW, the lady has said that she hasn't got a dishwasher - so won't be
following my advice anyway!] g
