Default Sludge Digester Tank

Sludge digester tank and sludge storage tank are required for wastewater treatment processes. Sludge is the solid, semisolid, or slurry residual material that is produced as a by-product of wastewater treatment processes. Sludge is commonly classified as primary and secondary sludge. Primary sludge is generated from chemical precipitation, sedimentation, and other primary processes, whereas secondary sludge is the activated waste biomass resulting from biological treatments. Oftenly, wastewater treatment plant uses the sludge storage tank to collect the primary and secondary sludge together for further treatment.

The sludge then flows into a sludge digester tank, where the sludge is converted by other bacteria into biogas, a mixture of carbon dioxide and methane. Anaerobic digestion is a biological process which breaks down a significant amount of organic solids in the sludge and at the same time produces methane gas that is used as a fuel to heat the first digestion tank as well as to generate electricity for the plant. Consequently, the volume of the final sludge is significantly reduced.

Center Enamel sludge storage tanks and sludge digester tanks are made from Glass-Fused-to-Steel(GFS) , which also can be used as biogas storage tanks and wastewater digester tanks. All our sludge storage tanks and
anaerobic digester tanks engineering design meet or exceed AWWA D103-09 and EN/ISO28765:2011, and our GFS tank engineers make tank engineering calculation on each specific tank structure according to project local environmental conditions, such as snow load, wind speed, seismic zone etc., to make sure the tank structure's adequate security in long-term service life.
