What does it mean when a computer starts
making a continuous beep sound, all in the
same pitch about 5 times/second?
And won't boot...

I means a trip to the repair shop. Could be the RAM, could be the hard

drive
crapped out.

Beep-beep-beep means it is at least trying to boot, and getting stuck in
POST. If OP installed anything right before this happened, they should
remove it. And then, one connector at a time so they don't get lost, unplug
and replug every card, cable and connector inside the case, and remove and
reinstall all the memory sticks, one at a time. Anything beyond that will be
beyond their skills, since they asked on here. At that point, time to call a
computer geek buddy or get professional help. Figuring bench time at 50
bucks an hour, if the computer is over 3 years old, probably more
cost-effective to buy a new entry-level machine online or at the big-box
store.
