So the "never" bit was actually an economy with the truth then.
I am sure they are plenty of other cases where you probably do pay
something to get a discount later (e.g.paying for a flat rate call
package to get unmetered calls etc).
The irony is that its not even a good metaphor for prime since part of
it a subscription to a streaming service anyway.
