I have to be honest and say I would be questioning how you're measuring
this as the differences are too significant for finding the right bearing.

How are you measuring this, and do you have anything to hand to
effectively calibrate your measuring stick? I would expect my measuring
to be within 0.001" and have some degree of confidence with a digital
vernier. Beware of cheap verniers, they also seem to have an error of
0.001" or more.

I didn't think 1.3/8" was a particularly common size? Your combination

I think you'll have more joy if you take this to a local specialist,
although expect to pay twice as much as an online source. Sometimes the
certainty is worth the cost.

I tend to agree. It would be helpful to know the application. If it is
not an antique I'd suspect that it might be American. I'd be putting
those dimensions into eBay and Google. If (say) it is a Briggs and
Stratton you might find cheapest spares by including this in the search.
