use liner sheets or a catalytic clean cycle. Otherwise you're stuck with caustic.

Self cleaning ovens are 'magic' - well not really but certainly the next
best thing. Take out the shelves, set to self clean (we do it at night),
give it a wipe in the morning. Shelves have to be soaked etc but they
aren't normally too bad.
