However in a modern age it is normal to have a mobile phone, in much

of course free to live in the past.

I now use a mobile for 90% of my calls, where just a couple of calls
on your sat-phone would cost as much as all mine in a month.

Why DO I need a mobile phone and for what though?
I have a landline for making calls and a laptop for e-mails.

Snap!
I have a mobile which I take with me whilst driving - just in case
something bad happens.
It is O2 and it would seem that I have to make a call every 6 months to
keep the account active. I don't like this.
BTW, if you want to create a Yahoo account it would seem that you need a
mobile phone to do so.

And you need one to do most net banking on your home laptop too.

Corse you dinosaurs just stuff the banknotes under the mattress.
