Water pump pliers might fit, slightly obliquely.


Thinbking a strap wrench might be the answer.

But those things should have rubber seals. Odd to leak even if loosely
tightened. Worry the rubber may be mis located.


Good point - perhaps it would be better for me to undo and dismantle
them (if I can) before re-fitting.
