How the other half lives! I used to take my 1.0 Metros from London
to Preston & back on the motorway on a regular basis (leaving Jaguars
and BMs eating my lead!)

Luxury! I used to do long journeys in a thing with a wooden floor that
topped out at 52mph. Eventually.

Just so! 1956 series 2 Morgan 4/4. Tongue and groove timber floor.
Passenger used to get their calves sprayed if you ventured into a
puddle.
