There was a time, before Ikea, that folks used to visit Homebase and
other usual suspects, to buy that fake wood effect 15mm melamine foiled
chipboard to knock up the odd cabinet to house the HiFi, or to use the
same to make gravity defying shelves.

There was a tasteful choice of either shades of brown wood all the way
to silver and black.

Wind forward to 2019, and it seems the only colour available from sheds
is white - unless I find a specialist retailer?
