Yup, I have a couple of those and they are good. Only thing is none of
the folks I am getting presents for are into plumbing.

Although perhaps that is just down to their lack of spanners ;-)


My recent plumbing experiences point towards a need for robust but thin
open ended spanners.


Car accessory places stock such spanners intended for fan belt nuts or something similar. They fit compression nuts. Everyone warns that stamped spanners are not robust, but IME with those ones they're plenty robust for plumbing.

Aldi has a patchy selection of diy stuff in if you're looking for pressies, but having had yet another one with 2 faults my opinion of their power tools is 'unreliable'.
