Some daft plod recording some daft incident in his notebook is not

Dogs are hateful creatures. They maul baybees to death.
Some people say dogs are intelligent, but how do you measure
intelligence if your only means of vocal communication is woof.
They have a lot more means of communication than woof.
And have a lot more than one type of woof too.
